Monique is the founder of
Legair & Associates Limited, a governance consultancy providing governance advice and support to international clients with business interests in the UK
She has spent many years working for various FTSE 100 companies providing governance advice to the boards and committees of UK PLCs. Monique also incorporates and administers privately-held companies for her clients which include HNWI, private equity firms and international financial institutions.

Monique is a partner of Cornerstone Partners, a UK angel investor network established to invest in businesses owned and run by black and diverse founders. With this focus, Cornerstone Partners aims to increase diversity in business and remove barriers to funding for individuals from backgrounds that are underrepresented in the UK business market today.

Previously, Monique co-founded the Multicultural Professional Network for black professionals in the City. She was a mentor to undergraduate students via The Adab Trust and a Trustee of The Apples & Pears Foundation. The Apples & Pears Foundation was a charity that raised funds and injected them into schools, nurseries, women’s refuges, community spaces and other grassroots projects working with children under 12. Monique also established Board Apprentice (BAME), drawing on her experience in U.K. boardrooms to improve board-level ethnic diversity.
